Lorie is a certified Suzuki guitar teacher in the Greater Harrisburg area. In the spring of 2018, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in General Music from Messiah University, with a concentration in classical guitar. Lorie was a member of Messiah College’s guitar ensemble.

With encouragement from her friends, Lorie opened her home guitar studio in 2013 after teaching several years at JW Music in Lemoyne. She has a passion for teaching children because of their eagerness and willingness to learn. Learning is fun and exciting for children when they are supported with sincere praise and encouragement by both teacher and parent(s).

In her leisure time, Lorie enjoys spending time with family, cycling, running, hiking, sewing and poetry. She also volunteered for Compassionate Care Hospice in Cumberland County where she provided spiritual care and music therapy.
